TrivGang ("we", "us", or "our") operates trivgang.polsia.app. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

We collect limited information to operate the game:

Display name and avatar — chosen by you when you play. Stored locally in your browser (localStorage).
Game scores and results — stored on our servers to power the leaderboard.
Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Collected automatically via server logs and analytics services.
Cookies — used by Google AdSense and Google Analytics to serve ads and measure traffic. See Section 3.

2. How We Use Your Information

To run the multiplayer trivia game and display leaderboard scores.
To improve game performance and fix bugs.
To serve relevant advertisements via Google AdSense.
To analyze aggregate usage patterns (no personal profiling).

3. Cookies and Advertising

TrivGang uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet. The use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with TrivGang. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only:

With Google (AdSense, Analytics) as described above.
With infrastructure providers (Render, Neon) who host and operate our services — bound by their own privacy policies.
When required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data Retention

Game scores on the leaderboard are retained indefinitely unless you request removal. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. To make a request, contact us at hello@trivgang.polsia.app.

7. Children's Privacy

TrivGang is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the revised date at the top of this page. Continued use of TrivGang after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
